What the West Allis Public Library is doing to keep our customers healthy and informed about coronavirus (COVID-19)
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to make headlines and cause concern throughout our communities, the safety of our customers, visitors, and employees is of primary importance.
What we are doing
- Library custodial staff has increased the sanitation of all public spaces and communal objects (door handles, railings, elevator buttons)
- Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer is available throughout the building at each public desk
- Disinfectant wipes are available at public desks for users sharing computer keyboards/mouse devices
- Children’s toys are cleaned daily
- We ask that if you have flu-like symptoms or cause to believe you have been exposed to the virus to remain at home and avoid public spaces
- We encourage everyone to take the normal precautions recommended for navigating cold and flu season, including social distancing, adhering to coughing and sneezing etiquette, and frequent and proper hand washing
We want you to know that the West Allis Public Library remains open, there are currently no changes to our scheduled programs, and the Library is taking all appropriate precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, to keep visitors and staff healthy.
