Book Sales
Each month, our Friends host a book sale at our Library, where you can find books, magazines, movies, CD’s and records, games, puzzles, crafts, and more! Book sales are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Library’s Constitution room.
Book Sales have been postponed until further notice.
Book Discussion Group
The Friends of the Library offer a book discussion group. This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month (excluding July and August), at 7:00 PM in the Library’s conference room. For more information, please contact Emily at 414-302-8500.
Upcoming discussion group dates, and book selections, are TBA.
All dates can also be found on our Library Calendar.
Game Table
A brand new event for our Library, our Friends now sponsor a monthly meetup for board game enthusiasts of all experience levels. Join local gaming group the West Allis Area Gamers (WAAG) on select Saturdays for a day of open-play tabletop in our Library’s Constitution room. A wide selection of games are available to play, and guests are welcome to bring their own favorite games to share as well.
Upcoming Game Table dates are TBA.
All dates can also be found on our Library Calendar.
Support our Friends
There are many ways you can support our Friends organization!
• Become a member
• Volunteer with our Friends (check our Volunteer Page for current opportunities)
• Donate your used books, movies, games, etc. to our Library’s book sales
• Purchase one of our Library’s carryall tote bags
• Advocate for our Library! Recommend our Library’s services and programs to friends and family!
Membership
The most common type of membership is an Individual Membership, which is $5.00 per calendar year. With that membership, you will receive a card that entitles you to $1.00 off at each of our book sales (a $12.00 value!). Memberships help fund Library programs, new equipment, toys and activities in our Children’s Department, giveaway prizes, and other great things for our Patrons.
Membership forms are available at the Library. Please contact us at 414-302-8500 with any questions.
