All Digital Programs are available at our Facebook page--West Allis Public Library Children’s Services and our YouTube page--West Allis Public Library. You do not have to have a Facebook account to access our digital programming videos.

Due to Health Commissioner recommendations, all in-person events are cancelled until further notice.

Digital Storytimes

Storytime enhances early literacy skills by giving children the opportunity to hear and learn new words through repetition and context. Each session consists of age appropriate books, songs, and rhymes.
Previous storytimes are available to view.

Take & Make Art Cart

Pick-up Tuesdays starting January 12
Registration is NOT required 
Every Tuesday we have a new craft for kids to pick-up and make at home. Crafts are available while supplies last.

Take & Make Birdseed Ornament

Pick-up Thursday, January 21
Grades 1-5, Registration is required 
Register starting January 4 to make a birdseed ornament. Then, hang your ornament outside and watch the birds enjoy! Pick-up of Take & Make kits begins on January 4. Register online or by calling the reference desk at (414) 302-8502

Take & Make 3-D Snowflakes

Pick-up Thursday, February 11
Grades 1-5, Registration NOT required 
Pick up a kit to make your own giant 3-D paper snowflake, while supplies last. Registration is not required. These kits are planned for kids in grades 1-5, but all are welcome to participate.

Take & Make Frozen Suncatchers

Pick-up Thursday, February 25
Grades 1-5, Registration NOT required 
Pick up a kit to make your own frozen suncatcher (frozen as in ice, not the movie!), while supplies last. Registration is not required. These kits are planned for kids in grades 1-5, but all are welcome to participate.

True Stories for Kids!

A True Story + Take & Make
Meet someone new by listening to a biography on our YouTube page, every other Thursday. Then pick-up a related activity to do at home. Books and activities are planned for kids in grades 1-5. Activities can be picked up in the Children's Department when the Library opens on the scheduled date, while supplies last.
